As a 35-year-old Libra man, I have had my fair share of ups and downs in life. But being a Libran has taught me to stay balanced and approach situations with a calm and diplomatic mindset.
During my early years, I was always drawn towards art, music, and anything creative. I would spend hours sketching, composing songs, and writing poems. However, like most typical Indian families, my parents wanted me to pursue a career in engineering or medicine. So, I ended up studying computer engineering, which was still a creative outlet in some sense.
While I enjoyed my work, I always had a sense of restlessness and dissatisfaction. It wasn't until much later in life that I realized that my true passion lay in storytelling and filmmaking. I had always been inspired by the power of movies to evoke emotions and convey messages, but I never thought it was something I could pursue as a career.
However, that changed when I hit a low point in my thirties. I was going through a rough patch in my personal life and found myself questioning my entire existence. That's when I decided to take a leap of faith and enroll in a film school in New York City.
At first, it was tough being a mature student surrounded by 20-somethings who were just starting out in life. But I soon realized that age was just a number, and that passion and dedication were more important than anything else.
During my time at film school, I made some incredible friends and mentors who helped shape my creative vision. I was exposed to new perspectives, experiences, and cultures which broadened my horizons as an artist and as a person.
It wasn't easy breaking into the industry, but determination and perseverance paid off. I started off with small gigs as a PA and worked my way up to being an assistant director on a feature film. It was a surreal experience seeing my name on the b【凌冠星座】ig screen and knowing that I had made my childhood dream a reality.
Looking back, I realize that my Libran nature has played a significant role in my journey so far. As a Libra, I tend to weigh my options before making decisions, and I always strive for balance and fairness in all aspects of life.
This trait has helped me as a filmmaker since storytelling is all about balance – balancing the visual with the narrative, the light with the dark, and the humour with the drama.
Moreover, being a Libra has taught me to be empathetic, and to see things from different perspectives. This has helped me create characters and stories that are nuanced, complex and meaningful.
As I enter my mid-thirties, I am excited about what the future holds. I am working on my own feature film, which I hope will make a positive impact in the world. I am also grateful for the love and support of my friends, family and partner who have been my rocks through thick and thin.
If there's one thing that I've learned from my journey so far, it's that life is too short to settle for anything less than what sets your soul on fire. Passion and dedication can take you places, and being true to yourself is the ultimate key to happiness.
